Request to join a community with a message
We are excited to introduce a new feature in the community joining process in Teams Free: Request to join a community with a message.
This new feature enables potential members to include a personalized message when requesting to join a community. Community owners can now gather more information about the requesters, making it easier to decide whether to approve or reject the join requests. This addition aims to enhance the quality of community interactions by ensuring that new members are a good fit, ultimately fostering a more engaged and cohesive community.
To use this feature, simply enable the “Require approval to join” toggle in your community settings as a community owner. When potential members request to join, they will be prompted to provide additional information, which will be displayed to community owners in the pending requests view. This feature is designed to streamline the moderation process and enhance the overall community experience by allowing owners to make more informed decisions.
Try out this new feature in your Teams community and let us know how it improves your community management experience!
