Now available to Teams Insiders, we are excited to introduce a new feature that makes spontaneous meetings in Teams Free easier than ever. With our latest update to Teams Insiders on desktop and web, you can now start an instant meeting with everyone in a group chat with just a click of a button.
Starting an instant meeting from a group chat is simple. Open the group chat, click ‘Meet now’ at the top, and the meeting will begin. Others will see a live indicator and can join by selecting ‘Join’ from their chat list. To notify others, select the live indicator and choose ‘Ring others to join.’ You can ring individual people or anyone who isn’t in the meeting. When you’re ready to leave, select ‘Leave’ from your call window.
