Meeting recording in Microsoft Teams

This feature is currently available exclusively for Teams Insiders. You can join Teams Insider with this link or through the app settings.

The call and meeting recording feature is now available for Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Family subscribers in Teams, making it simple to capture and revisit your calls and meetings. Recording call and meetings in Teams ensures you never miss critical details – whether for compliance, collaboration, or catching up later. With just one click, you can record your session and access it securely in the cloud for up to 30 days.

Call and meeting recordings let you stay connected even after the meeting ends. You can:

  • Watch recordings directly in Teams through chat.
  • Download recordings for offline access.
  • Share recordings with participants for easy collaboration.

  • Secure cloud storage for 30 days – Recordings are stored safely in the cloud for easy access.
  • Download & in-app playback – Download recordings to your device or view them directly in Teams through the meeting chat with a built-in player.

To use the call and meeting recording feature, make sure you have an active Microsoft 365 Personal or Microsoft 365 Family subscription and your Teams app is updated to the latest version.

How to record a call or meeting:

  • Start a call or join a meeting
  • Select Start recording from the More options (…) menu.
  • Stop recording at anytime via More options – Stop recording.

Please note that call and meeting recording is currently available for Teams Insiders only, Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription required.
