When signed in to Teams with your personal account, you might have a Teams organization that you no longer need. Thanks to a recent improvement in the app, you can now easily leave that organization.
How to leave a Teams work or school organization?
1. When using Teams for personal use on desktop or web, go to the app settings and select ‘Accounts and orgs.’ Then, select the ‘Leave’ button next to the Teams organization you wish to leave.
2. When the My Account / Organizations page opens in your browser, under ‘Other organizations you collaborate with’ you’ll see the Teams organization you want to leave. Select the ‘Leave’ link on the right.
3. Select ‘Leave’ to confirm that you want to leave the selected Teams organization.
Please note that it may take a few hours for this change to update. Then you can sign out of Teams and sign back in to no longer see the Teams organization. If you still see it, try signing out and back in again after a couple of hours.
